I did the last post on how to gain weight, put on some mass, get out of the skinny you and get the shape you’ve always wanted. Hence, I wanted to continue along the same lines and share with you what might prove to be the X-factor in your quest of gaining weight. Alright, all the hard gainers, listen up! The factors such as eating in a surplus, eating healthy, weight training will no doubt help you get to your goal but during my transformation, I found this “BANANA SHAKE” or “BANANA SMOOTHIE” whatever you might call it, to be the meal that made all the difference in the end. I wanted to share the recipe of the same with you as this can be the game changer. It has been for me for sure. There are a lot of recipes for mass gainer shakes out there on the internet but the recipe I am going to share with you is the one I have personally tried and tested. So, without further ado, let’s get to the main part.
- 1 Banana – (Small or Medium in size)
- 1 Glass Milk– (Toned milk)
- 1 Tablespoon Peanut Butter– (Dr.Oetker or Sundrop) (No Nutella)
- 1 Tablespoon Oats– (Any Brand)
- Protein Powder (optional)– (1 scoop)
That’s it. Mix them up in a blender and you are good to go. Don’t get fixated on the protein powder, it is completely okay if you don’t use a protein supplement, it will be as effective without it. I included this shake one time in my morning meal and as I said the results were fast and encouraging. The shake itself can be substituted for a meal and especially if you are someone who is always on the go, this shake can be your ideal meal replacement as you can also carry this along to your workplace. The best part about this is that one, it contains nothing fancy, simple ingredients that are easily available and second, that it is very easy to prepare and saves a lot of time.
It is, however, very heavy on the stomach to digest and you will feel full for the most part but hey, you got to make some adjustments to bring about a change. You will eventually develop an appetite for it. From my personal experience, if you are just starting out, consuming this gainer shake once a day is more than enough to get you results in the initial phase. You are free to make modifications to this recipe though, look what works for you, try this out, worked great for me, it will for you too.
