The Biggest Fat Loss Mistake!

All of you on fat loss diets, routines and transformations, I have something just for you. Fat Loss, every other person you come across is talking about it. Some are already into it while some are trying. To be honest, “Fat Loss Is Not Difficult.” Yes, you read that right. I’ve been through the journey and am very well aware of all the struggles and hardships and according to me, it ultimately boils down one or two things which we need to take care of in order to make the whole process faster, easier and most importantly, sustainable.

Almost half of the people repeat the same mistake while they are on their respective fat loss missions. We all make mistakes, it’s human. isn’t it? But the reason I wanted to talk about this is because of the impact it has on the whole thing. Alright, we go to the gym, we train, workout, follow a good diet plan, shed around 3-5 kgs in a month or two, we start getting compliments, self-confidence goes up, everything is going great and “then we stop.” Yes, we stop. All the praise from people and the sense of accomplishment gets to us, doesn’t it? “I look great, I feel great, I can take it easy, I don’t have to work out anymore” You see yourself a month later, you are back to 0, both literally and figuratively. This is where so many of us go wrong. This is not something for 2-3 months. It’s a journey, it’s a lifestyle. You don’t follow it, you’ll fall.

What you don’t Realize

A month off, and you are back where you started. Why so? I mean you did work your ass off, you deserve a break, don’t you? There is a catch. See when you shed those kilos in a flash, you are not losing fat. Instead, your body gets rid of all the extra water it had been holding. Your fat stores don’t even know that it’s happening, all you have lost is the water weight and nothing else. This phenomenon of your body losing water is one of the most fundamental concepts when it comes to fat loss.

After you’ve got rid of the extra water, the actual process starts. The body then starts tapping into your fat and muscle reserves. It is now when the real grind starts. If you want to lose fat and put it on as quickly as you lost it, this is where you need to work. Everyone takes a break, enjoy with friends and family, have other priorities in life, but they still manage to stay in shape for longer periods of time. Why? because they have lost actual fat and not just water which does not come again quickly.

The solution? The solution is to have that patience and determination to keep going until the very end irrespective of what others say or believe. Have patience, love the process and get to the goal. According to research, it takes about a year for the body to completely transform in such a way that it stays that way. The process to truly transform is sometimes slow, but patience is what you’ll need. Don’t run after the fastest route, go for the sustainable one. Give yourself time, it will happen. So? when are you starting your weight loss journey?
